Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Massive portion sizes consistently garner praise, with many customers noting that one order often suffices for two people.

The freshness of the food really stands out, with dishes cooked to order, ensuring that each meal is hot and flavorful.

The mix of traditional fish and chips with tantalizing Chinese options, like Salt & Pepper Chicken and chow mein, brings a unique touch that many find irresistible.

Many reviews highlight the friendly, chatty staff who enhance the dining experience by making customers feel welcome and valued.

Most Disliked

Some patrons mention that while the food quality is high, they find certain items on the pricier side for a takeaway, considering the average cost of similar meals in the area.

Long queues are a common complaint, especially on weekends, which can lead to wait times that test even the most patient diners.

As the establishment only accepts cash payments, some customers may find it inconvenient, especially in an increasingly cashless society.

I’m in love with this chippy. It’s my fave and my go too whenever I don’t know what to have. The food is lovely. I go for the usual (S+P chicken and chips with curry) and I honestly have not found anywhere that does it better than here. Also the chicken noodle soup (my fave) is amazing. The ribs are also lovely. Absolutely love the food from here.

This is possibly the best, but certainly one of the best Chinese Chippy's in Liverpool. The food is always cooked fresh to order and is always on point. If getting food from So's around the weekend at tea time make sure you give yourself plenty of time as the queues are always out of the door. Portion sizes are great and quite often single portions could feed two people. Prices are very reasonable given quality of food and amount you get. Would recommend So's 10 times out of 10.

Fantastic! Chips are always tasty and cooked to order. Portion sizes are generous to say the least! There are only a handful of fish and chip shops that we will eat from, So’s topping the short list. The shop is always immaculate and the staff are always friendly and chatty with the customers. The chips and onion gravy are delicious, we will be back soon!

Best chippy around. I like the fact the chips are well cooked and the meat is chargrilled. Staff are friendly with good banter and shop is immaculately clean. Large queues sometimes but worth the wait. Food is simply delicious.
